Thomas J. Kramer, Ph.D.
Position(s): Professor of Psychology; Co-Director, Center for Organizational Learning and Renewal

About Dr. Kramer: Tom Kramer received his Master's degree (1968) and Ph.D. (1970) from Michigan State University. Tom has published over 30 articles in research and professional journals and authored numerous book chapters. He was one of the key initiators in developing and establishing the Center.

Interests and Experiences in Organizational Learning: Tom has an extensive background in research and consultation related to organizational learning. His research interests include factors that enhance group functioning through team facilitation, the impact of self-managing teams on organizational effectiveness, and improving client/consultant relationships. He has consulted to a wide variety of organizations across North America specializing in organizational change efforts, facilitation and team development. His organizational learning interests include team learning and joint labor/management change efforts. "It is exciting to watch a team mature from an operational team to one that 'learns how to learn' - that truly becomes a stimulus for organizational learning. I believe that teams are a corner stone for organizations to learn." One of Tom's strengths is his ability to facilitate team development and coach others to develop their facilitation skills
