Paaige K. Turner, Ph.D.

About Dr. Turner: Paaige K. Turner received her Master's (1993) and Ph.D.
(1998) from Purdue University in Organizational Communication and Research
Methods. Her work has received national recognition and appeared in
journals such as Communication Monographs and Argumentation and Advocacy.
She is the recipent of the Kramerae Outstanding Dissertation Award (1999)
and the Outstanding New Teacher Award (2000).
Interests and Experiences in Organizational Learning: Paaige's focus on discourse analysis highlights how everyday talk can create and reflect our perceptions of ourselves, our coworkers and our
organization. That is, how we talk is how we live. Her research interests
include how talk contributes to and inhibits organizational learning as well
as using discourse to assess current organizational realities and modes for
change. She has co-developed and presented seminars to local and national
organizations on a wide range of topics including presentational skills,
mentoring, engaging in difficult conversations, and issues of gender.
